Welcome to Hell's Kitchen, New York!

From John F. Kennedy International Airport:
1. A taxi to and from JFK will cost a flat rate of $45USD. You will also need to
pay the toll ($4.50) and tip. $60 should cover it and if there are three or more,
it's a pretty good deal. Tell the driver you want to go to "46th & 9th" and you'll
sound more like a New Yorker.
2. A bus will take you to the Port Authority Bus Terminal (42nd Street & 8th
Avenue) for $15USD each. Be sure the bus is going to "Port Authority.' It will
make one stop at Grand Central Station, then on to Port Authority, so don't get
out at the first stop. Once you arrive, head west on 42nd Street, turn right on
9th Avenue, walk up 4 short blocks and turn left on 46th Street.
3. The airtrain is a monorail that takes you to Jamaica train station in Queens.
You will then need to transfer either to a train into Penn Station or the Subway
(E line). The monorail is $5 and you pay when you get off (Be sure to get the
monorail that goes to 'Jamaica Station,' not Howard Beach). If you decide to
take a passenger train to Penn Station, it will cost between $2-5 each
depending on the day and time. There are always people at the airtrain
terminal to help you and explain how to catch the train. If you decide to take
the subway, follow the signs for the E train. It will cost $2 each and you will
get out at 42nd Street. Once you arrive, head west on 42nd Street, turn right
on 9th Avenue, walk up 4 short blocks and turn left on 46th Street.
From LaGuardia Airport
1. A taxi will cost between $20-35 USD. Toll is
$4.50 and tip. 15-20% is a good tip. Tell the driver
you want to go to "46th & 9th" and you'll sound more
like a New Yorker.
2. A bus will take you to the Port Authority Bus
Terminal (42nd Street & 8th Avenue) for $12USD
each. Be sure the bus is going to "Port Authority.' It
will make one stop at Grand Central Station, then
on to Port Authority, so don't get out at the first stop.
Once you arrive, head west on 42nd Street, turn
right on 9th Avenue, walk up 4 short blocks and turn
left on 46th Street.
From Liberty International Airport (Newark):
1. A taxi should cost $45USD plus toll and tip. A 15-20% tip is customary.
2 You're best bet is to take the Coach USA bus to Port Authority Bus
Terminal. It will cost you $13 one way, $22 round trip. Once there, head
west on 42nd Street, turn right on 9th Avenue, walk up 4 short blocks and
turn left on 46th Street.
